SensorsUnlimited.jpgSensors Unlimited Inc., part of Goodrich Corp., has introduced a 50-mm focal length lens for shortwave-infrared (SWIR) cameras. The SWIR Solo 50 images in the 0.7- to 1.7-μm spectral range and features a manual locking focus and advanced optics that deliver >90% throughput from 0.9 to 1.7 μm. The fixed aperture at f/1.4 provides sharp images with low distortion. Designed for focal plane arrays of up to 640 × 512 with 25-μm pixel pitch, the lens can be used for 24-h surveillance, for unmanned aerial vehicles, for imaging lasers and for driver vision enhancement.
