LUNA_Tech.jpgLuna Technologies has unveiled the Phoenix 1200, a tunable laser module. The miniaturized external cavity laser is tunable over the entire C-band at a rate of up to 100 nm/s. Power ranges from 3 to 10 mW, accuracy is ±5%, spectral linewidth is 1.5 MHz, and side mode suppression ratio is from 43 to 50 dB. The laser is driven by a circuit designed for low noise and highly linear sweep performance, appropriate for fiber optic test, measurement and sensing applications. Included software controls the laser and monitors wavelength, power and two user-accessible optical receivers.
