Users in academe, bioscience, materials science, pharmaceuticals and industry may observe thinly sliced biological tissues and larger 3-D industrial samples without changing hardware. A turret condenser supports transmitted bright-field, dark-field, differential interference contrast and phase contrast observation techniques, while a motorized nosepiece and increased sample height support reflected bright-field, dark-field, differential interference contrast and fluorescence observations. Stand options include motorized and manual operation or a separate focus module for applications requiring working distances up to 102 mm. Accessible controls, a tilting eyepiece tube and motorization increase ease of use.
