QuantumNorthwest.jpgThe PAS 1000 system for pulsed-laser photoacoustic measurements has been introduced by Quantum Northwest Inc. The package consists of a transducer, a preamplifier, a fast photodiode trigger, a six-position filter wheel for repeatable intensity control, and a beamsplitter, filter mount and pyroelectric energy probe for measuring incoming pulse energies. It includes a temperature-controlled cuvette holder for laser spectroscopy, data acquisition hardware and a digitizing oscilloscope. The components are linked together with software for data collection, processing and analysis. With the addition of a laser and a PC, the system generates pulsed-laser photoacoustic data for complex kinetic analysis.
