nLight.jpgThe CS family of high-brightness, high-power, 808-nm conduction-cooled laser bars for medical use and for diode-pumped solid-state laser pumping has been unveiled by nLight. The bars have a 30% fill factor and are rated at 60 W on an industry-standard conduction-cooled CS package. They achieve high power and brightness by combining proprietary laser chips with AuSn solder on an expansion-matched submount. The lasers can operate in CW and pulsed modes. They have wavelengths ranging from 790 to 830 nm and have 19 × 150-μm emitters on 500-μm spacing. Optional is an AR-coated cylinder lens to collimate the fast axis.
