FrankfurtLaser.jpgFrankfurt Laser Co. has released a single-mode 850-nm laser diode that offers high beam quality and stable Tem00 performance. The FIDL-200S-850C, an AlGaAs/GaAs quantum well structure, is suitable for various optoelectronic applications, including medical instrumentation, target designation and fiber laser pumping. Precise wavelength selection enables the use of the device in spectroscopy equipment. Supplied in a 9-mm package with n-type cathode pin configuration, the laser diode offers CW optical output power of 200 mW, fundamental transverse mode, threshold current of 80 mA, typical operating current of 300 mA, operating voltage of 2.4 V and differential efficiency of 0.9 mW/mA at an operating temperature of –20 to 40 °C.
