PerkinElmer.jpgPerkinElmer Inc. has announced the TRF laser detection module for its EnVision multilabel plate reader. The module is a compact nitrogen laser unit designed to improve performance for time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) assays. According to the company, it delivers a short excitation pulse without a tail, resulting in a larger signal-to-noise ratio for optimum Z-values, increasing the speed of TRF assays and reducing reagent consumption. The module can be combined on-site with any EnVision plate reader.
