FLIRs.jpgFlir Systems Inc. has introduced the ThermoVision SC8000 MWIR camera. The device, with a 1024 × 1024-pixel InSb focal plane array, has a 16-channel readout, providing data at 205 megapixels per second. The camera can produce full-window, 14-bit data at 132 fps. By reducing window size to 160 × 120 pixels, users can increase the rate to 909 fps. Gigabit Ethernet and USB interfaces are incorporated into the product, which is compatible with proprietary ThermaCam RTools data analysis software. An optional kit allows custom programming. The company says the camera prevents dithering and stitching in images.
