Coherent.jpgSuitable for multilaser laboratories and production facilities, the Multipurpose EnergyMax series laser energy sensors from Coherent Inc. offer wavelength coverage from 190 nm to 12 μm. The devices measure pulse energies from 300 nJ to 2 J of lasers operating from single shot to 1 kHz, and they incorporate wavelength-compensation factors and electronics that automatically correct for ambient temperature. Low-energy-range sensors for 300 nJ to 500 mJ pulses and high-energy ones that cover the 10 μJ to 2 J range are available in 10-, 25- and 50-mm diameters. The 25- and 50-mm-diameter sensors accept an optional heat sink, which extends the energy, the repetition rate range or both. The devices are compatible with the company’s 3sigma, FieldMaxII-P and -Top, and EPM1000 and -2000 meters.
