Pulsar, a modular, ultrahigh vacuum system from the Kurt J. Lesker Co.,
was designed for surface analysis techniques. The system comprises a
multi-technique analysis chamber, load lock, manipulator, pumping system,
gauging, bakeout, frame and electronics modules. The chamber is
configured for most surface physics analytical techniques, including
AES, XPS, UPS, secondary electron microscopy, rear-view LEED and SIMS. It
is compatible with VG Microtech's surface science analysis equipment.
