Sciton.jpgSciton has introduced the ProLipo Plus, a high-power laser system for ablating and melting unwanted fat, resulting in collagen remodeling and tissue tightening. The FDA-cleared minimally invasive system combines 1064- and 1319-nm wavelengths for optimal body-sculpting results. The two wavelengths can be used alone or in tandem. The laser system can be used as an adjunct to liposuction or as a stand-alone procedure. It produces 30 W of power at 1064 nm and 20 W at 1319 nm. The procedure can be done quickly, with local anesthesia, and can be more effective than liposuction at contouring the chin, neck, abdomen and arms.
