The ArcturusXT microdissection system from Molecular Devices Corp. combines IR laser capture microdissection and UV laser cutting in one instrument. Built upon the Nikon TE2000U inverted microscope, the modular system can be upgraded with a variety of options to accommodate expanding research requirements and emerging technology. It enables sample custody to be maintained at all times, eliminating guesswork from the process. It can be configured with LED bright-field or high-intensity halogen illumination to enable phase and differential interference contrast applications. A wide variety of objectives are available, and a high-resolution megapixel camera and a second monitor may be added.
