Photonics Industries International Inc. has unveiled its PA series high-power TEM00 lasers, which deliver up to 150 W in the IR at 1064 nm; up to 100 W in the green at 532 nm; up to 40 W in the UV at 355 nm; and up to 10 W in the deep-UV at 266 nm. They maintain the TEM00 mode quality using the company’s external cavity harmonic generation techniques. The repetition rate can be varied from single-shot to 150 kHz. An option enables the TEM00 power to be confined into a narrow 1.5-GHz linewidth or single longitudinal mode. The company also has extended its high-power multimode DM series to include a 1064-nm laser delivering up to 400 W and a 532-nm with up to 150 W. They are available Q-switched pulsed at up to 50 kHz. The lasers have applications in medical device manufacturing and in laser microprocessing medical devices.
