Chemotaxis slide

Integrated BioDiagnostics (ibidi) GmbH has unveiled the chemotaxis slide, a member of its μSlide series of flow-through devices for functional analysis of living cells. The slide enables motion tracking of slow-migrating cells such as chemotactic cancer cells in gradients and allows the formation of stable gradients for 48 h, permitting users to follow cells that move about one cell length per hour. Such gradient assays can be performed with low volumes, 3 μl for the cells and 18 μl for the chemokines. The slide comes with a software plug-in for Image J.
