EdmundOptics.jpgEdmund Optics Inc. has introduced a line of laser diode modules for OEMs to integrate into medical or research equipment. The 10 models are modulated or unmodulated, have 635- or 785-nm beams, provide output powers from 1 to 6 mW and are rated for a maximum operating current from 50 to 100 mA. Offering a divergence of <0.5 mrad, the laser diodes have collimating optics and TEM00 beams with an M2 quality measurement of <1.5. They run on 5 VDC, operate up to 30,000 h at room temperature, can be operated from Ñ10 to 40 °C and come in compact, lightweight aluminum housings.
