PDR-Chiral Inc. has introduced the PDR-Chiral laser polarimeter for companies involved with optically active compounds. It consists of an optical bench, a flow cell, signal processing electronics and a low-voltage power supply. The device can be used for rapid screening, online process control monitoring, identification of an unknown by specific rotation, simplification of a complex chiral analysis and the determination of an enantiomeric ratio without requiring a chiral separation. By changing the flow cell, it can be used for micro-, analytical, preparative and process-scale analysis.
