SpectrumDetectors.jpgThe SPC line of discrete pyroelectric detectors from Spectrum Detector Inc. features rugged LiTaO3 material, spectral response from the UV to the far-IR and response time from micro- to milliseconds. Based on NIST-traceable calibration techniques, the devices range from 1 to 9 mm in diameter for a variety of radiometric applications, including broadband radiometers, horizon sensors, IR gas analyzers, optical pyrometers, process control and laser energy meters. They are AC-coupled, responding only to chopped, modulated and/or pulsed optical sources. The SPC-X models are designed for optimal current output, with a crystal mounting method that maximizes their thermal time constant. The SPC-XH models maximize their heat dissipation to handle higher radiant flux levels. Accessories include IR windows and organic black coatings.
