The TeraSpectra from Applied Research and Photonics Inc. is a terahertz spectrometer with applications in the life sciences, including biomedical and pharmaceutical research. The dendrimer-based technique enables the generation of up to 30 THz with an average power of 3 to 4 mW. Time-domain measurements can be performed over a span of sub-picoseconds to tens of picoseconds with a resolution of less than 100 fs. The system provides a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 2000 and operates at room temperature.
