Two image acquisition boards for machine vision and scientific imaging applications are available from National Instruments Corp. The single-channel monochrome image frame grabber, the PCI-1407, acquires RS-170 and CCIR images from cameras and VCRs. The PCI-1422 is a flexible image acquisition board for acquiring large, high-resolution images from digital area- and line- scan cameras at rates up to 80 MB/s. Both boards come with free driver software.
