Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. has released the Velocity family of integrated circuits for Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and serial interconnect applications at speeds up to 1.25 Gb/s. The VSC7123 and VSC7133 10-bit transceivers are designed for network switch, router, host adapter and serial backplane interconnect applications. The 3.3-V integrated circuits come in industry-standard 10- or 14-mm 64-pin packages and feature low jitter generation, cable equalization and reliable signal detection, according to the company.
