Edmund Optics has unveiled new dichroic laser beam combiners that efficiently combine or separate multiple laser beams at a 45° angle of incidence. The polarization-insensitive devices feature low loss, reflection >98% and transmission >95%. Available at six cutoff wavelengths, they are suitable for combining or separating lasers between 375 and 785 nm. Made from low-auto-fluorescence substrates, they have a hard ion-beam-sputtered coating and are suitable for a variety of multilaser fluorescence imaging and measurement applications, including laser microscopy and flow cytometry.
