Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has introduced three new spectrophotometer models: the Genesys 10S Vis, the Genesys 10S UV-Vis and the BioMate 3S. Designed for research and routine analysis, the devices offer local instrument control with embedded software. The Genesys versions feature wavelength scanning, qualitative analysis, kinetics and fixed-wavelength measurements. The BioMate, built on the sample platform, incorporates the same hardware as the Genesys but also offers the flexibility of built-in biological test methods. A range of software for color determination, materials science and enzymatic food analysis is available to accompany the devices.
