Vortran Laser Technology Inc. has launched the Stradus 488-nm blue laser diode module with 50-mW output power as an alternative to high-power diode-pumped solid-state lasers for flow cytometry and microscopy applications. The laser diode features digital modulation up to 200 MHz with analog modulation at 500 kHz. It offers automatic thermal control of the diode and temperature regulation of all optical elements. Compatible with USB and RS-232 interfaces, it is suitable for a variety of original equipment manufacturer tasks.
