Olympus Europa Holding GmbH has released an enhanced version of its dotSlide virtual slide system. Combining microscopy with imaging to create a virtual slide that can create an exact copy of the real specimen, the VS110 can be used for pathology, research and education applications. When generating a high-resolution image of a whole specimen, users can zoom in to view and analyze from low to maximum magnification. All samples can be evaluated from multiple locations simultaneously because they are stored electronically on a central server, enabling the information from a single glass slide to be shared in real time with multiple personnel across the globe.
