McPherson Inc.’s vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) spectrometer is now available with sensitive, cooled, scientific-grade CCD detectors. Model 234/302 is suitable for plasma process mapping, fluorescence, luminescence and VUV photoemission applications. The compact, 200-mm-focal-length instrument features adjustable slits and operates at f/4.5 to deliver fast, sensitive data collection from ultraviolet radiation and emission spectra in the 100- to 190-nm range simultaneously, in near-real time, with subnanometer spectral resolution. It is compatible with many models of cooled, back-illuminated and windowless sensors and is available with standard light sources, reflective condenser optics and vacuum differential sections.
