iMULTIMultiprocessor boards for the imaging, vision and digital signal processing industries have been unveiled by Alacron Inc. FastImage is an autonomous imaging system that offers flexible input-output and processing power using four Philips TriMedia TM1x00 processors, each with 8 to 16 MB of dedicated 400-MB/s SDRAM. Continuous simultaneous images are acquired from one of four selectable composite NTSC/PAL video streams and up to four digital or three analog video streams generated by line- or area-scan cameras. Separate digital video ports provide independent high-speed data input/output.
