The new LF1000A 1-kW fiber laser welder from Miyachi Unitek enables high-speed and penetration welding of steel and aluminum with good process stability and reliability.

Features include real-time power feedback, a 100% optically isolated cavity, energy and time share options, optical feedback protection and characteristics specifically tuned for laser welding. The laser power output is verified and maintained to ensure high weld repeatability and quality. The energy and time share options increase efficiency by supporting more than one workstation or multiple weld heads. Pulse shaping and modulation provide ultimate weld control, and the touch screen interface enables quick and easy parameter programming.

Repetition speed is from 1 to ~5000 pulses/s, modulation is 1 to ~5000 Hz, and output power stability is ±2% or below at >10 W. Wavelength range is from 1070 to 1100 nm. The guide laser is a red-colored visible model, and the safety shutter is an open-close sensor. Maximum power consumption is 10.3 kW, and ambient operating temperature is 5 to 50 °C.

The system measures 1110.4 × 569.5 × 1068.8 and weighs 380 kg.
