FAIRPORT, N.Y., June 16, 2010 — Imaging Solutions Group of New York Inc. has announced its Finger Lakes smart camera family that supports both GigE Vision and Camera Link interfaces.

The line has a number of models that support the Eastman Kodak KAI CCD family. Starting with a 16-megapixel camera with 7.4-µm pixel size, the family will support all of Kodak’s 5.5-µm CCD sensors. Additional sensors from other manufacturers may be used in the future.

The cameras have a workstation class high-performance Linux CPU and a large field-programmable gate array. External triggering and strobe functions are integrated along with an NTSC composite video output and two USB2 interfaces. A low-noise analog front end and the Kodak CCDs provide high-quality images.

Customers can program advanced imaging algorithms in C++ and run them on a high-performance Linux CPU, offering easy customization and video analytic capabilities. Applications include machine vision, security and surveillance, and other government and military applications.
