Designed to supply and manipulate high voltage in MEMS and microfluidics experiments, the HVS448 6000 volt sequencer has been released by LabSmith Inc. It supplies up to 6000 V and can switch channel functions in a millisecond, based on real-time calculations, measurements or programmed sequences, making it suitable for electrophoresis, dielectrophoresis, pulsed field studies, microfluidics, electrochromatography and lab-on-a-chip research. Its eight channels can switch between supplying and sensing up to ±3 kV or supplying and sensing up to ±6 mA with 16-bit resolution, or it can act as a high-voltage voltmeter. Each channel can respond to signals from external inputs and/or its own outputs.
