The portable LabSpec 5000 and 5100 series postdispersive spectrometers, offering 10-nm and 6-nm NIR resolution, respectively, are available from Analytical Spectral Devices Inc. They feature Ethernet connectivity with optional wireless operation, while incorporating the 350- to 2500-nm spectral range of the LabSpec Pro series. The rugged devices have nonslip urethane end caps and a wideband halogen light source, providing high output and stability. They offer an embedded trigger, enhanced remote diagnostics via the Internet, SMA 905 fiber optic connectors and an operating temperature range of 0 to 40 °C. The ASD software developer’s kit enables autonomous control of the devices.
