BaySpec Inc.’s RamSpec series high-resolution long-wave 1064-nm compact Raman system is designed for high performance, long-term reliability and ultralow fluorescence interference for measurement of biological samples such as tissue and skin. The third-generation rugged dispersive Raman instrument uses low-cost field-proven components and an efficient volume phase grating as the spectral dispersion element and an ultrasensitive InGaAs array detector as the detection element, thereby providing high-speed parallel processing and continuous spectrum measurements. Features include self-automated wavelength calibration, ~5-cm–1 spectral resolution in the entire 1064-nm Raman wavelength region and rapid automated calibration to ensure operational accuracy. Applications include scientific research, in vivo and in vitro medical, forensics, drug screening, mineralogy, petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals.
