XTM-50 Manually Tunable Filter

LANNION, France, July 28, 2010 — Yenista Optics has released its diffraction grating-based XTM-50 manually tunable optical filter with adjustable bandwidth down to 6.25 GHz (50 pm).

The filter has a wavelength tuning range from 1450 to 1650 nm and a bandwidth adjusting range from 50 to 800 pm. It allows engineers to extract channels with low insertion loss and no distortion of signal thanks to its 0.2-dB flatness and 550-dB/nm steep edges.

The filter provides a solution for studying new modulation formats, high bit rate transmission and cascaded reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers.
