Owis GmbH has released the PS 90 and PS 30 high-performance positioning controls. The PS 90 has a modular configuration, up to nine axes, a USB 2.0 interface, parallel operation of different drive systems and up to two inputs for incremental encoder or a linear measuring system and closed-loop operation for all drive systems. It has eight inputs and outputs with TTL and SPS levels, four power outputs for up to 24 V/1 A and a power supply unit with an input range of 100 to 240 VAC for a motor current of up to 7 A at 48 V. The three-axis PS 30 features a control of either two-phase step motors or DC servo motors, eight TTL inputs, five TTL outputs, two power outputs for up to 24 V/1 A, phase current up to 3 A at 24 V and RoHS conformity. Both have optional triggering capabilities and full step to 1/256-step mode for two-phase step motors.
