Lumenera Corp. has launched the Lw290 camera,
based on a 1080P sensor, which is suitable for medical imaging. The camera’s
16:9 high-definition, 2.0-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers 20 fps at full 1920 x 1080-pixel
resolution. Higher frame rates are available at lower resolution, with full subwindow
control and live focusing modes. The camera provides a dynamic range of more than
60 dB and low blooming for greater image detail. It also features a USB 2.0 interface
and onboard processing, and is available in both board-level and enclosed versions
and with either color or monochrome capability.
