StellarNet Inc. has released the NIRX-SR series spectrometers for laboratory and field measurements. Covering the 900- to 2200-nm wavelength range, the ruggedized miniature instruments feature a 512-element InGaAs photodiode array, two-stage thermoelectric cooling, a high-speed USB 2.0 interface and the company’s SpectraWiz software suite, which supports LabView, Visual Basic Automation for Excel, Visual C++ and Delphi Pascal. The spectrometers include optical systems with no moving parts, and they provide 16-nm resolution. Models with 1024-element arrays are available, which increase the resolution to 8 nm. Other options include fiber optic attachments for spectroradiometry, optical spectroscopy, chemical analysis and remote sensing.
