Princeton Instruments has added the Pixis-XF: 2048B model to its line of x-ray cameras. It offers back-illuminated 4-megapixel resolution and operates at 100 kHz and 2 MHz. It supports the company’s phosphor replacement design to optimize it for various x-ray energies. The fully integrated model is designed for x-ray applications including microcomputer tomography, streak tube readout, and industrial and medical imaging. The camera measures 115 x 200 mm and weighs 5.5 lb. Its single-head design supports a USB 2.0 interface, and full triggering and shutter control capabilities. The instrument is available with a fiber optic communication kit. Its WinView software supports data acquisition and a macro-record feature for automating complex experiments. The device is supported under LabView.
