The LensCheck long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) lens measurement
instrument from Optikos Corp. is a tool for infrared production and prototype lens
qualification. The compact, efficient and easy-to-use quality control tool provides
full spectral evaluation over the entire LWIR bandwidth and allows the operator
to confirm the basic performance of an optical component or system and assess more
complicated performance requirements. Featuring proprietary and patented VideoMTF
image analysis software, the system performs real-time infrared modulation transfer
function testing and analysis, enabling manufacturers to qualify IR lenses and lens
assemblies quickly and reliably, and minimizing the costs and issues of out-of-spec
finished products.
