In response to the demand for off-the-shelf optics optimized for short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) performance, Resolve Optics Ltd. has designed two fixed-focus lenses (25 and 50 mm) specifically for the 0.9-to 1.7-µm waveband. In surveillance, military and machine-vision applications, SWIR cameras have become the sensors of choice, but there are very few true SWIR lenses available. Most available for the SWIR bandwidth are designed for the visible but have antireflection coating for 0.9 to 1.7 µm. Through careful design and selection of glass types, matched with antireflection coatings, the company’s Model 342 series SWIR lenses deliver high resolution and good color correction, ensuring high-quality images from cameras and sensors.
