The iC-NZN and iC-NZP from iC-Haus GmbH drive laser diodes in continuous-wave and spike-free pulse modes with up to 155 MHz and with either optical output power or current control. Blue laser diodes can be operated with the iC-NZN. The devices have an adjustable current limit, with a maximum of 300 mA. When the current limit is reached, it is signaled at an error message output, which also indicates undervoltage and overtemperature. A safety shutdown functions for the output stage in the event of overtemperature. The devices can be driven by either low-voltage differential signaling or transistor-transistor-logic pulse signals. They have a standby mode with a low current consumption of <50 µA.
