DRESDEN, Germany, Oct. 31, 2011 — InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik has introduced ImageIR, infrared cameras that feature a rugged design. They have cooled focal-plane-array photon detectors of various types (indium antimonide, mercury cadmium telluride, quantum-well infrared photodetector) and 320 × 256- or 640 × 512-pixel formats working in snapshot mode. The cameras operate at frame rates of up to 4500 Hz and capture temperature differences of <20 mK.
The thermography systems are designed for demanding applications in research and development, nondestructive materials testing and process control.
A range of interchangeable precise radiometric infrared lenses includes telephoto, standard, wide-angle, macroscope and microscope types. The field of view can be adjusted according to the application. All state-of-the-art standard optics can be equipped with a motor focus unit that enables precise, remotely controlled and fast motorized autofocusing. The microscope lenses capture detailed images of electrical assemblies and components, even from large measuring distances, with a pixel size of up to 5 µm.
