FREIBURG, Germany, Jan. 13, 2012 — Z-Laser Optoelektronik GmbH has released the redesigned ZQ family of laser sources. The new versions offer higher power and good beam and laser line quality for several types of projections: fiber, homogeneous lines, collimated beam and structured light.

The temperature-controlled laser sources improve wavelength stability and can be completely remote-controlled, now that they are combined with a graphical user interface for setting power and monitoring all relevant laser parameters.

The new ZQ2 laser source systems deliver a boresight accuracy of <3 mrad and output up to 7000 mW at wavelengths between 600 and 1100 nm. The Z1000Q1-F-808 delivers output of 1 W at 808 nm and is accurate to 300 µm, FWHM, in 1500-mm focus, making it suitable for applications that require high measuring resolutions. The internal design of the ZQ1 is laser-coupled with an integrated thermoelectric cooler that allows a high level of stability and minimum boresight error.

Both products feature integrated optics, electronics and active temperature control in a self-contained enclosure and support communication interfaces including RS-232, USB, Ethernet and programmable logic controller, each galvanically isolated.
