IVO Associates’ KeepLoop miniature microscope module turns an ordinary mobile phone (or iPad, laptop) into a good-quality microscope by attaching a thin magnetic microscope module in front of the phone’s lens. It is accurate to 0.01 mm.

The user attaches the module to his mobile device, turns on the LED light source, starts the phone camera, previews the image and clicks. The microscope module fits easily in the user’s pocket.

The KeepLoop is used in industrial markets, in the life sciences sector and for general education. Users can quickly examine samples and then transmit microscope images with their mobile phones to anywhere in the world. Examples include imaging of currency notes/security, skin, print quality, medical samples and electronic components to assist manufacturers with quality control.
