Jenoptik Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH has added a new model to its line of diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers. The JOL-RB 70 is a low-mode laser, with a head that measures 1200 x 170 x 190 mm. In continuous-wave operation, it produces 70 W at 1064 nm with 2% rms stability and an approximate M2 of 6. For Q-switched operation at 1 kHz, it has a 135-kW peak power, 2% peak-to-peak stability, 110-ns pulse length and 15-mJ pulse energy. At 10 kHz Q-switched, the JOL-RB 70 is capable of 35 kW of peak power, 6% peak-to-peak stability, 220-ns pulse length and 6 mJ of pulse energy.
