SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 19, 2012 — A midband tunable optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been released by Continuum Electro-Optics Inc.

The Horizon OPO offers a tuning range into the vacuum-ultraviolet, a narrow linewidth and active precision control. Designed with optimal mechanical and optical integrity, it provides access to wavelengths between 192 and 2750 nm.

Fully automated with precision scanning for hands-free operation, it is a robust system built for consistent output and is compatible with a variety of the company’s pump lasers.
