A piezoelectric gripper from piezosystem jena GmbH is suitable for micro-optics manipulation, fiber optic assembly, precision mounting and adjusting, and biological sample manipulation. The high-speed device has a 300-µm gap motion, can operate from -20 to +80 °C, measures 30 x 36 x 6 mm, and has an adjustable gripping force and 560-Hz resonant frequency. It is available in custom gripper gap shapes.
