The IX-555 laser workstation from J P Sercel Associates Inc. is an industrial-grade, Class I micromachining system that can be configured with a YAG, CO2 or excimer laser. It has a welded steel frame with a vibration-isolation optical bench for high-tolerance processing. A typical setup has an X-Y-q stage with a micromachining beam delivery system at the front process area, and a second beam delivery system with reel-to-reel part handling in the rear processing area. The unit includes soft lift doors, multiple target viewing and inspection cameras, motorized beam attenuator, and integrated projection lenses.
