3D PRO Laser, 3D PRO Laser Mini Structured-Light Lasers

HATFIELD BROAD OAK, England, Nov. 11, 2012 — ProPhotonix Limited has launched the 3D PRO Laser and 3D PRO Laser Mini structured-light lasers.

They use a standard cylindrical form factor for seamless integration into existing systems. Both models are available in a wide range of power and optical configurations in two standard industry footprints.

The 3D PRO Laser, 19 mm in diameter, is compatible with the majority of machine vision systems, enabling replacement of existing structured-light lasers. The 3D PRO Laser Mini, 10 mm in diameter, is designed for applications where space is at a premium. Both are available with a customer-specified fixed focus, and the 19-mm model offers optional externally adjustable focus.

The lasers offer good uniformity with line widths down to 15 µm, suitable for inspection applications that demand high accuracy. They deliver output powers up to 150 mW and are available with fan angles between 10° and 90°. Wavelengths range from 405 to 850 nm and include 635 and 660 nm. Electronic options include transistor-transistor-logic modulation up to 1 MHz and analog power control for intensity adjustment. A variety of line and diffractive optic options are available for projecting complex patterns.
