Cold Station thermoelectric cooling systems developed by ACK Technology Inc. are designed for small devices such as laser diodes, photodetectors, CCDs and medical samples. Each system uses a thermoelectric cooling module, heat sink and ball-bearing fan to remove heat from the 2 x 1.65-in. cold plate and bring its temperature to less than 0 °C. The cold plate has four 4-40 tapped holes for mechanical interface with samples. Cooling power ranges from the 5 W delivered by the CS 5A to 30 W by the CS 12A; the CS 6A and CS 10A deliver 10 and 20 W, respectively.
