STAMFORD, Conn., June 20, 2013 — Omega Engineering Inc.’s TH-21 series thermistor probes with M12 connections can be used in applications previously out of reach of epoxy-coated thermistor sensors.

Constructed with a glass-encapsulated thermistor element for stability and accuracy, they offer a maximum continuous temperature rating of –80 to 200 °C and intermittent operation to 250 °C. Tolerance is ±0.2 °C from 0 to 70 °C.

The sensors can be ordered in any length, but the company recommends a minimum immersion depth of 1.5 in. because short probes run the risk of error from stem-conduction effects. Available in 2252-O, and 3-, 5- and 10-kO resistances at 25 °C, they are suitable for laboratory, R&D, automation and automotive applications, and for the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), manufacturing and chemical industries.
