YOKNEAM, Israel, June 24, 2013 — Senso Optics’ new X-Lite miniature thermal sensor is a compact, lightweight thermal imaging camera core for night-vision applications.

The device is 30 × 34 × 41 mm (with IO and power cards) and weighs less than 80 g. It features a resolution of 640 × 480 with 17-µm pixel size and is suited for applications in law enforcement, search and rescue, and homeland security patrol, among others.

The device is equipped with smart algorithms such as anti-blooming, drivers for zoom and focus lens control, high-detailing Clatinex algorithm, temperature range compression and more. It utilizes a high-sensitivity Vox detector with 32-mK noise-equivalent temperature difference (NETD) or an amorphous-silicon (ASi) detector with 50-mK NETD.
